Snickerdoodles

Makes 24+ cookies

• 1/2 cup butter, softened (not melted)
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 1/2 cups white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 Tbsp white sugar
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400. Cream together butter, shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Mix 2 Tbsp sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Shape dough into balls using two spoons. Roll in sugar, and place on cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes until done but not dry.
