Super Delicious Smashed Taters

  • 5 lbs red potatoes, boiled
  • 1/2 package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup milk or cream
  • 2 Tbsp fresh sage
  • 2 Tbsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • salt to taste

Boil the potatoes until past fork tender. Discard all but 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid. Stir in cream cheese and spices. Smash the potatoes, adding milk slowly, until they reach your desired consistency. Serve with anything or just eat them by themselves.
